How to record results (data entry)

The data entry screen is where test results are recorded against a visit. Open it from the site planner (open a week, then open results) or from the Job List.

Before you enter readings

  1. Check Completed By — click the pencil and tick the engineer(s) who did the work.

  2. Set the Actual Date to the date the visit actually happened — not necessarily today. This is what decides whether the visit was on time.

Enter the readings

  1. Work down the list of tests, entering each result. The counts on the right — Total Tests, Not Answered, Non Conforming — update as you go. Click a count to filter the list to just those tests.

  2. Use the Text Options button on a test to drop in standard text for its comment.

  3. Need to test something not on the task? Use Additional Assets to add an asset to this visit.

  4. Upload Work Sheet lets you bring readings in from a completed Excel sheet instead of typing them.

Finishing

  1. Get Not Answered to zero — every test needs a result, a “no access”, or a “not required”.

  2. Deal with every Non Conforming result — see Non-conforming results.

  3. Return to the visit to add notes, signatures and photos and print the report.

Result History

Result History on a test shows what was recorded on previous visits — useful context when a reading looks wrong.
