Assets are the individual items monitored on a visit — outlets, cold water tanks, calorifiers, TMVs. Each asset belongs to a location.
Steps
Open Customise Site › Locations, then open a location to see its Assets list.

Click Add Asset and set the Order No, Floor and Name.
Save. Use the row controls to edit or delete an asset. Locations in the breadcrumb takes you back.
Which assets a task coversAdding an asset here puts it in the register. Whether a given task tests that asset is set on the task's asset allocation, not here.
